Excellent Product!

My son started shooting videos with a big shoulder-mounted camcorder when he was about 10 years old. That was over 20 years ago. He has gone through many cameras, and his latest is this one - a really good camcorder. It can record many hours - in HD - on its hard drive, so there is no switching tapes for long recordings. I records excellent quality and has loads of features. His previous Sony is still running after eight years of daily use.
Lasted exactly 12 months!

Don't want to beat the dead horse...many aspects that I wanted to address already exist in other reviews. My camera is literall dead! the display flickers and rolls and the camera refuses to do anything meaningful including data transfer. I had purchased extended service and that will come to my rescue but obviously all the pics and vids are at Sony's mercy!
Very good

The Camera itself is awesome. However, for still photos, it doesn't give you all capabilities of a camera.
Very nice

I recommend this one. I love the touch screen. It has a lot of nice features. The 60 GB is plenty. This product does 1080i - so do note you are not getting 1080p.
no sound on WMP

Movies play on other media players but on Windows Media Player there is no sound. I called Sony and they said that it was "Microsoft's problem", but I disagree, it is their CUSTOMER'S PROBLEM and they refused to help. Stay clear of this quirky pos.
